Nanhisiaasha- A Child Welfare Foundation

We are located out in Vasai West, specifically in the Kaul Heritage City area. If you know Babhola Naka, we aren’t too far from there. Our office is in the Aster building, number eleven, specifically flat B 104. It’s a quiet residential area, which is nice because it stays relatively calm compared to the main roads. The Nanhisiaasha foundation is basically run out of this small space. We have some shelves filled with books and old folders, and there’s usually a pile of stuff near the door that needs to be sorted. The light in the afternoon is quite bright in the front room, so we usually have to pull the curtains. We spend a lot of time coordinating things from here. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a regular flat that we’ve turned into a workspace. Sometimes the kids from the building play in the hallway, so it’s never truly silent. We don't mind the noise though. It’s just a part of being in a real neighborhood. We’ve got a small kitchen where we make tea and sometimes eat lunch together if we aren't too busy. We just focus on the welfare work we started here. It’s honest work and we do it without any pretenses. Most of the people who come by are locals who know us by name and just want to check in.
