Mould N Cast

The workshop is located at Plot No. A/414 in the MIDC area of Mahape village. It’s a typical industrial setup. We have the big machines for the moulds and the casting work. It gets quite noisy when everything is running at once, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the hum. The floor is made of thick concrete to hold the weight of the equipment. We have a few windows high up, but they mostly just show the tops of the other factories nearby. There’s a small area where we keep our lunch boxes and coats. We’re not into big corporate meetings or anything like that. We usually just stand around the machines and figure out what needs to be done for the day. Mahape is a busy area, so the traffic coming into the TTC industrial zone can be a real headache in the mornings. Once we’re inside, though, we just focus on the casts. Some days are better than others, especially when the machines are behaving. We’ve had our fair share of breakdowns and long nights fixing things. It’s part of the job. We don’t put on airs. We’re just a bunch of people working with metal and moulds, trying to do a decent job before we head home to our families. It is dusty and grease gets on everything, but that is just the work.
