We are based out in Vasai at the municipal industrial area. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it suits us fine. Our plots are 133 and 134 in Dhovali Village. It’s near Umela Phata. The air is a bit different out here compared to downtown. Micro Pneumatics has a lot of space here to get things done. We have the workshop and the offices all in one spot. It makes sense for us to be where the actual manufacturing happens. The team is mostly local people from around Vasai Road. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. It’s a lot of metalwork and assembly. You’ll hear the sound of tools and machines all day long. It’s not a quiet office environment. We wear work clothes and don’t worry about getting a bit of grease on our hands. Lunchtime is usually everyone sitting together. We’ve been in this spot for years and seen the industrial area grow. There are more shops and small eateries now than there used to be. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don’t have any marketing people writing scripts for us. We just build what needs building and ship it out. It’s simple, honest work. Sometimes the delivery trucks get lost looking for Dhovali Village, so we have to go out and wave them down. That’s just part of our daily routine.
