We've been at the Rupvin Apartments building for a while now. Most folks around Papdy know where Suleman I. Khatri's place is, right here in Chane Bori. It’s a busy spot in Bassein. Being out here in the Thane district means we see a lot of people coming through from all over Maharashtra. The shop isn't fancy. It’s just where we handle the cars and talk to the people who walk in. You’ll usually find a couple of us standing near the entrance or working in the back. The 401201 pin code is home for us. We deal with Maruti Suzuki vehicles every day. It gets dusty sometimes with the traffic, but that's just how it is in this part of town. People stop by when they need something fixed or they’re just looking. We don’t have a big corporate office feel here, just a regular place where work gets done. If you're driving through the Bassein area, you've probably seen our sign. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the cars sitting in the lot. It’s a local operation. Sometimes the phones are ringing off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to have a tea and watch the street. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still here at the same spot in the apartments. It's a practical setup for what we do. Just a few steps from the main road, so it’s easy to find if you know the landmark. We like being part of the community here.
