Makwana Kitchen World Llp is out in Bapane Village at the Ramdev Block. It is located in Naigoan East, which is a bit far out for some people, but it gives us the space we need. This isn't a fancy showroom with spotlights. It is where we actually cut the wood and assemble the cabinets. You will smell sawdust and wood glue as soon as you get near the entrance. We have piles of plywood and laminate sheets leaning against the walls. The guys work on the benches, putting together drawers and fitting hinges. It is a local operation, and many of us live nearby in the Vasai area. We spend the day talking about kitchen layouts and how to make things fit into small spaces. There is usually a radio playing in the background while the saws are running. We don't have a marketing department; we just show people what we are working on at the moment. The village setting is a bit quieter than the city, but our shop is always humming with activity. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just how it is out here. We just like making things that people use in their homes every day. It is honest work with our hands and we take our time to make sure the edges are smooth.
