Mahim Aboli Foundation

The Mahim Aboli Foundation is located at House No. 666 in Holinaka, which is in the Naralwadi area of Mahim. We’re out in Palghar, in the Thane region. It’s a local place and we’ve been here for quite a long while now. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are because we’ve lived here forever. We don’t do anything too fancy or complicated. It’s mostly about helping out the people living around here with whatever they might need on a daily basis. Sometimes that’s food, sometimes it’s help with school for the kids, or even just some advice on local issues. We aren't a big city foundation with lots of staff and money. We are just local folks ourselves. The house is old and the paint is peeling a bit, but it works for what we need. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you knock on the door, someone will usually answer and offer you a seat. We spend a lot of our time just chatting with the neighbors and seeing what’s going on in the street. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it seems to work for us and the people here. Palghar is a nice area, even if it gets a bit quiet at night. We like being part of the community. We don't have a website with lots of pictures. We just do the work.
