Vishal Lamps Industries

Our small factory is situated at 106 Kushal Industrial Estate in Kopri Village, over in Virar East. It is a busy industrial area with lots of trucks coming and going at all hours. Inside our unit, you will see a lot of parts for lamps and lighting fixtures. We spend the whole day putting things together. Some days it is very hot in the estate, but we just keep going. We have been here for some time and the neighbors know us. It is not a showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It is more of a production space where we handle glass, wires, and metal bases. There are boxes stacked up toward the ceiling most weeks. We usually have a few people working on the assembly line, checking that the parts fit together properly. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of Kopri Village, which can be a bit of a headache for everyone. We just deal with it as it comes. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps the place running and everyone has a job to do. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything fancy like that. We just make lamps. If you come by, you will probably see someone testing a bulb or packing a crate for shipping. The floor is usually covered in cardboard scraps and bits of tape. That is just how it is when you are making things in an industrial estate. We take our lunch breaks together and then get back to the assembly.
