Kohli Motor Co. is based over at W-112 in Mayapuri Phase-II. If you know Mayapuri, you know it is the place to go for anything related to vehicles. The streets are always packed with old cars and piles of metal. It is a rough and tumble kind of area. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We spend our days covered in grease mostly. There is no air conditioning here, just a few ceiling fans that move the hot air around. We have a lot of parts stacked up to the ceiling. It can be hard to find things sometimes, but we usually know where everything is. We have been working in Phase-II for quite a while now. The noise from the other workshops is constant, but you stop hearing it after an hour. Customers come by looking for specific things, and we do our best to help them out. It is a straightforward business. We don't have a website that works well or anything like that. People just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes we eat lunch sitting on a stack of tires. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we know. We handle the motors and the heavy parts every single day. The work is hard on the hands but it keeps us busy from morning until dark.
