Jan Jivanadhar Seva Foundation

Jan Jivanadhar Seva Foundation is based in Vasai, specifically in the Fatherwadi area. We operate out of a space in Mahavir Chawl, which is near the Shanti Nagar part of town. It’s at Rameshchandra Ramdhari Maurya’s place. If you are looking for us, we are close to the Suj Export spot. Vasai is a busy place and our little corner in Shanti Nagar is no different. We don’t have a polished corporate office. It is a very local, grassroots kind of setup. We spend our days dealing with community needs and whatever issues come our way. The walls are a bit plain and we use old desks, but they work fine for what we need. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We are just regular people from the neighborhood who decided to put this foundation together. There is no one here with a fancy title. We all just pitch in and help out. Sometimes we are out in the field more than we are in the office. If the door is locked, we are probably just down the street helping someone out with their paperwork or some other trouble. It’s a hands-on kind of life. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. We’d rather just use what we have to keep the services going for the people around Fatherwadi. It is honest work and we do it every single day.
