If you know Choudhary Covasais No 248, you will find our door easily. Greenworld Human & Environment Association is not a big corporate name with a huge, air-conditioned office. A chawl office is just the reality of our daily life. The environment changes so fast these days with all the new construction. Protecting the trees and helping folks understand how to take care of the local area is why we stay here. It is often dusty and tiring work. Meetings happen out in the open air sometimes because it is much cooler than being inside the small room. We do not have anything fancy in the room at all. Just a few old chairs and a lot of passion for the outdoors. Funding is low, so most of us have other small jobs to help pay our own bills. We just think the world needs to be a bit greener, especially here in Palghar where things are growing so fast. People stop by the room to ask about their plants or how to fix a trash problem on their street. It is all very informal and we just take things day by day. There are no big plans, just small actions every morning to keep the neighborhood looking a bit better.
