Great Impex

Chandresh Mahal is one of those buildings on Meera Road that everyone sort of knows but might struggle to find the exact door at first. We are in C-201. It’s a busy area. If you’ve ever been to Meera Road, you know the traffic can be a real headache, especially in the evenings. We’ve been operating out of this apartment-turned-office for a good bit. It’s got that lived-in feel. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the paperwork to worry about aesthetics. Great Impex is basically a few of us handling things between phone calls and emails. We don't have a big corporate lobby. You just walk up the stairs or take the lift if it’s working that day. Sometimes the hallway is filled with boxes. That’s just how it is when you’re dealing with imports and exports. The kitchen area is where we spend most of our breaks, drinking tea and complaining about the heat. It’s a simple setup. We don't try to look like a big multinational firm. We’re just a local business trying to keep things moving. Most of our neighbors are families, so we try not to make too much noise. You can hear the kids playing outside in the evenings. It keeps us grounded. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get home before the rush hour peaks. It’s a long commute for some of us, but we’re used to it by now.
