Deshseva Welfare Foundation

Deshseva Welfare Foundation is run out of Naigaon Bazar. We are specifically located at Mahatma Phule Colony, Ward No. 11. It is actually at Sonkambale Kishan’s place. Using a home-based setup makes things feel more personal, I think. We do not have a big storefront or a neon sign. It is just a house in the colony where we do our business. People from the ward come by quite often just to talk or ask for help with things. Naigaon Bazar is a tight-knit kind of place. Everyone knows where everyone else lives. We have some chairs set out for when people visit. Most of the work is just talking to folks and figuring out what the community needs right now. It is not a complicated setup. We have some folders and a small desk where we keep the records. Sometimes we sit outside if the weather is nice. It is a very local way of doing things. We do not have a staff of twenty people, just a few of us who care about the neighborhood. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people show up at once. But we like it that way. It is honest work and we are right there where the people are. No need for a fancy office in the city when we can work from here. The neighbor's dog usually barks when someone new arrives at the gate.
