Dahanukar Machine Tools

Dahanukar Machine Tools has been on College Road for a long time now. We are located in Vadkumdahanu Road West, which is part of the Thane district. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but we like it here. The shop is filled with the smell of cutting oil and metal shavings. That’s a smell you never really get out of your clothes. We sell and service machine tools. It’s heavy, oily work. We don't have a fancy showroom. You just walk in and see the lathes and milling machines sitting there on the floor. Most of our customers are local workshop owners who need something that won't break down. We spend our mornings checking inventory and the afternoons talking to people who drop by. The road outside can get real muddy when it rains, and sometimes customers have to park a bit far and walk. Nobody seems to mind too much. We aren't big on computers here. We still use a lot of ledgers and paper receipts. It’s just easier for us to keep track that way. The fans on the ceiling hum all day long. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know how to handle the heavy lifting. We’ve learned over the years which tool fits which job. It’s not a complicated business model. We just provide the tools that other people use to make their own living. It’s worked for us so far.
