Bhaktivedanta Hospital

Out here in Sector 1 of the Srishti Complex, things stay pretty active. Bhaktivedanta Hospital is located right on Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg. It’s a well-known road in Mira Road East, so we aren't hard to find if you are coming from Thane or around here. This place has been around for some time, and it feels like the walls have stories to tell. We have nurses who have lived in this neighborhood their whole lives. The hospital isn't some fancy corporate building with glass walls. It’s a practical space where people come when they aren't feeling well. We spend a lot of time just talking to the families who wait in the hallways. It’s a big complex, so there’s always something happening around the corner. We get all kinds of people, from the older residents who’ve been in Thane forever to young families moving into the newer flats nearby. Sometimes the traffic on Swami Marg gets a bit much, but that’s just how it is in this part of Maharashtra. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local hospital trying to handle the daily flow of patients. It gets tiring, but seeing someone go home feeling better is why we stay. Most of us eat our lunch in the same small breakroom every day. It’s a simple life, but it’s our life here and we just keep on going.
