Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute

We are out in Village Hamarapur. The Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute is right near the Zilla Parishad School. You can often hear the kids playing or the school bell ringing from where we are. It’s a rural setting, quite different from the city hospitals. Being in Taluka Wada means we see a lot of people from the surrounding villages. Our building is a solid part of the local landscape now. We have the research side of things too, which keeps some of the staff busy with papers and data, but mostly it's about seeing patients. The roads out here can be a bit bumpy depending on the season. We have a lot of space around us. It’s quiet at night, very different from the daytime when families are coming in and out. The staff mostly comes from around this area. We know the local language and how things work in the village. We aren't trying to be some high-tech center that feels cold. It feels more like a local gathering place where health is the main focus. We have benches outside where people sit and talk while waiting. Sometimes a cow or two wanders near the gate. It's just Hamarapur life. We do our best with what we have and keep things running day after day for the people living nearby. It is a long day's work but someone has to do it. We close the main gate when the light fades and get ready for the next day.
