Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute

Being right near the ISKCON Temple in Mira Road makes this place feel a bit different. Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute has been sitting here for a good while. You can usually hear the sounds from the temple area if the wind is right. We do both regular hospital work and some research too, though most people just know us for the check-ups and basic care. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We have people coming in all hours of the day. The researchers stay in their own section mostly, while the rest of us deal with the patients in the main wards. It’s not a shiny new place, but it’s clean and it works. We’ve had the same receptionists for years, and they know a lot of the regulars by name. People around Mira Road seem to trust us enough to keep coming back. We aren't trying to win any awards; we just want to get through the shift and help whoever is waiting in the lobby. The research side adds a little extra work, but it’s interesting to see what the doctors are looking into. It’s a decent place to work, honestly. The neighborhood is friendly, and we have plenty of tea stalls nearby for when we need a break. It’s just a normal part of the local scenery now, nothing too fancy to look at but always here.
