Bawaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd. is located in the Sky Industrial Estate. We occupy Gala numbers 2 to 8. Our place is in the Dal Mill Compound, which is right opposite the Apple Hub on National Highway 8. This is in the Pelhar area near Sopara Phata in Nalasopara East. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but being near the highway is useful for getting our trucks in and out. The estate is quite large and can be a bit confusing if you are visiting for the first time. We have several units connected together to make enough room for the frying and the packing machines. There is a lot of heat and the smell of oil in the air most of the time. The workers are busy moving crates of wafers from one end to the other. We have a small corner walled off for the office work where we keep the ledgers and handle the phone calls. The floors are often covered in a bit of dust from the highway outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. It’s a loud place with the sound of the machinery running constantly during the day. We don’t have a big fancy entrance. You just walk through the main rolling shutter. We focus on keeping the production line moving so the packets are ready for the morning deliveries. It is a very hands-on type of business with plenty of noise and activity.
