Anita Foods & Dry Fruits

Walking into Navghar Marg, you’ll find us over at the Shri Sainath Industrial Estate in unit A-4. This part of town is always busy with trucks and people moving crates, so it gets pretty noisy during the day. Our space is filled with the smell of different nuts and dried fruits we keep in stock. We spend a lot of time weighing things out and bagging them up for whoever stops by. The shelves are mostly plain wooden ones we put up ourselves years ago. There’s usually a few open bags sitting around because we’re constantly checking the quality of what comes in from the suppliers. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not exactly a pretty storefront with big glass windows. We have a heavy metal door that stays open most of the time to let a bit of a breeze in. Sometimes the labels on the boxes get a bit smudged, but we know what’s inside each one. It’s just us here, making sure the stock is rotated and the floor stays swept, though the dust from the road always finds its way back in. We don’t have a fancy office or a receptionist; if you come in, you’ll probably find someone with their sleeves rolled up working at the back. It’s a simple setup where we focus on the food and not much else. Most people find us through word of mouth around Navghar.
