Shri Chirag Laxmidas Savsani / Marble Enterprise

Starting out at Palej GIDC, specifically in units 628 and 629, wasn't something we planned overnight. Shri Chirag Laxmidas Savsani, or what most folks around here just call Marble Enterprise, has been part of this industrial area for quite some time. If you’ve ever walked through the gates here, you know how it smells like stone and wet saws. It’s loud, messy, and there’s always a fine layer of white dust on everything, including our boots. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech. Most of our day is spent looking at slabs, checking for cracks, and making sure the orders for the local builders get loaded onto the trucks without too much trouble. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a mud pit, and that slows us down, but we just keep at it. It’s a family-run kind of setup where we know the tea stall guy by name and the truck drivers know where to park without asking. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; it's mostly just a desk near the back where we keep the ledgers and the phone. People come by asking for specific cuts or just to see what we have in stock that week. We don't spend money on flyers or big signs. The address at 628 - 629 Palej Gidc is where we stay from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s just how we work, day in and day out, dealing with heavy stone and waiting for the next delivery.
