Satnam Minerals

Satnam Minerals is situated right near the Khemana Toll Plaza on the Palanpur-Abu Highway. You can hear the constant rumble of the traffic going by all day and night. It’s a very busy road, especially with people traveling up to Abu for the weekend. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. The highway location is practical for us because of the transport, but it does get very dusty and loud. We have a small building that serves as our office and a large area for the minerals. It’s a basic operation with no frills. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the paperwork for the trucks is ready. The toll plaza can get backed up sometimes, which affects when our loads get out, so we have to plan around that. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. Our desks are old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. Most of our staff are local guys who know the highway well. In the summer, the heat off the asphalt is intense, so we try to get most of the heavy work done before noon. We don't have a big sign, just enough of a name on the gate so people know it’s us. It’s just a regular place where we work hard and try to get through the day’s list. We like being near the highway despite the noise and the grit.
