You can find us over at 180/181 in the Chandisar GIDC area, not too far from Palanpur. Being in an industrial zone like this means there's always trucks coming and going. We deal with pulses—sorting them, cleaning them, and getting them ready for people to eat. It’s dusty work sometimes, and the machines can be quite loud when they're running full tilt. We’ve got a decent-sized space here to store the raw bags before they get processed. Nilmani Pulse Product has been doing this for a while, and we’ve learned a thing or two about which grains are good and which aren't. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just food processing at its most basic level. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the dal, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. Our staff mostly comes from the nearby villages. We start early when the air is still a bit cool, especially in the summer. There's no big corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it's needed. Whether it’s loading a truck or checking the quality of a batch, we just get on with it. It’s steady work.
