Vel Agro Farms

Vel Agro Farms is right at 241, Teppam East Bazaar. Being near the Teppam tank means there is always something going on nearby, especially during the festival times when the whole area gets blocked off. Our shop is right in the thick of the market, so we get a lot of dust and noise from the street. We sell a lot of seeds, fertilizers, and other stuff that farmers need for their crops. The front of the shop is usually lined with bags of grain or supplies that we haven't moved inside yet. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze once you get inside because we try to stock as much as possible to make sure we don’t run out of the basics. The floor is often covered in a bit of dirt from the boots of people coming in from the fields. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights, just some old shelves and a sturdy counter where we do the math. The tea seller from across the road usually brings us a couple of cups in the morning, which is the best part of the day before it gets too hectic. We’ve been part of this bazaar for a long time, and the neighbors are all like family. It’s a lot of hard work, lifting heavy bags and staying on our feet, but it’s the kind of life we are used to in this part of town.
