We are located at No. 7, Muslim South Street in Natham. It’s a narrow street, and sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting through, but we manage. The building is an old one, passed down through the family, so it has high ceilings and thick walls that stay cool even when it's hot outside. We spend most of our hours sorting through things and getting them ready to go out. The smell of the spices stays on your clothes long after you leave, which my wife always mentions when I get home. It’s not a high-tech operation; we do a lot of things by hand because that’s how we learned to do it. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived on South Street for generations, so everyone knows everyone’s business. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the books, though it’s usually covered in dust and stray papers. We don’t run any big ads or have a fancy sign, just a small one over the door. The floor is made of old stone that’s worn smooth from years of people walking back and forth. It’s just a quiet, local spot where we put in our hours and try to keep things honest. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in to sleep on the sacks, and we don't really mind. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
