Sree Green Vegitables

We are located right in the middle of Gandhi Market in Oodanchatram. If you know where the State Bank is, we are quite close to that. This area in Dindigul district is always buzzing, especially during the market hours when the farmers are bringing in their loads. Our shop, Sree Green Vegitables, is just one of many, but we have our own spot where we pile up the greens and other veggies. It’s a very loud place to work with all the shouting and the trucks moving about. We start way before the sun comes up to get the best pick of what’s coming in. The floor is usually a bit damp from the washing and the vegetable scraps. We don't spend money on fancy lights or signs. It's just about the vegetables and the people who come to buy them in bulk or for their homes. Being near the bank means there’s always some extra foot traffic. Sometimes we have to move things quickly when the rain starts unexpectedly. It’s hard work, mostly standing on your feet all day and moving heavy sacks. We don't have a website or anything like that, people just know we are here in Gandhi Market. Every day is pretty much the same routine of sorting, weighing, and selling. It’s just the way the market life is in Oodanchatram. We keep things simple because that's all that's really needed when you're dealing with fresh produce every day.
