Selvas Granites

Our shop is at 121, right near the old R.T.O Office on Dindigul Main Road in Palani. It is a good spot because most people know the old office, so they don't get lost finding us. We have been here in the Dindigul district for a long time. The yard is where we keep all the granite. It is a lot of heavy lifting and we spend most of our hours outside. The sun in Palani can be really something else, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets too hot. We have different slabs of granite coming in and out all the time. Some have nice patterns and others are just plain, but that is what people want. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make the place look like a mall. It is just a regular stone yard with a small shed for when it rains. People come by, look at the stacks, and we talk about what might work for them. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for a new truck to arrive if someone wants a specific color. We just take things as they come. It is a simple life and we are happy to be part of the local community here on the main road. The traffic is noisy, but you get used to it. Sometimes the local traffic makes it a bit hard to hear, but we manage just fine.
