Ramesh Store

Ramesh Store is right on Usilampatti Road. If you are in Tirumangalam, you probably passed by us many times. It is a small shop but we pack a lot of stuff inside. The shelves are high and sometimes a bit dusty because of the road traffic outside. We sell things people use every day in their houses. There is no air conditioning here, just the breeze coming through the front door. Sometimes it is very quiet and other times five people walk in at once. We handle it as it comes. We have been here in Madurai district for a while now. The morning starts with unloading crates and making sure the floor is swept. It is a basic job but it keeps us busy. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. They come for a packet of biscuits or some washing powder. We do not have those big trolleys like the fancy stores in the city. You just ask for what you want and we get it for you. Usilampatti Road gets very crowded during the festivals. We see all the life of the town from behind our counter. It is a good way to spend the day. Nothing too complicated happens here. We just try to have what the neighbors are looking for. We hope to stay here for many more years and keep serving the local folks.
