J. K. Engineering Electroplaters

J. K. Engineering Electroplaters is located at Shed No. 91 in the Mahia Industrial Estate. It’s right off the Sivagangai Road, which stays pretty busy with traffic all day long. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good bit of time. The work we do involves a lot of tanks and chemicals for the plating process, so the air always has that specific metallic smell to it. It’s a messy job sometimes, but someone has to do it. The shed isn't very big, so we have to be organized with how we move parts around. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with our aprons on. We just handle the work as it comes in from local shops and bigger factories nearby. Uranganpatti is a decent area for this kind of thing because everyone knows where the industrial estate is. We keep our heads down and stay busy with the batches. Sometimes the power goes out or a pump acts up, and we just fix it and keep moving. It’s not a corporate lifestyle. We wear boots and get our hands dirty every single day. The Sivagangai Road noise is always there, but you get used to it after the first week. We’re just a small crew doing our part. It is hard work, but we are used to the pace and the demand of the local industry.
