Immanual Stores

Our shop is at No. 142/10 on Dharapuram Road. If you know the Oddanchatram area in Dindigul, you probably pass us often. Immanual Stores is just a regular place where we sell everyday items. We open early in the morning and stay open until late evening. The road gets very busy with trucks and buses passing through toward Dharapuram. It can be quite noisy. We stock the usual things people need for their houses. Rice, pulses, and small household goods are stacked on the shelves. It’s not a big supermarket, just a local store where we know many of the faces who walk in. The building is simple and we’ve tried to make the best use of the space we have. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives and boxes are everywhere. We spend most of the day weighing items and chatting with the locals who stop by for their daily needs. Dindigul summers are hot, so we have a few fans going, but it’s still warm inside. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the name over the door and the goods on display. People like that they can just stop and get what they need quickly. We manage the accounts in big ledgers and keep an eye on the stock levels. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from dawn to dusk. We don't bother with much else besides keeping the shelves full for the neighborhood.
