We have been over here at Malligai Apartment in K.K. Nagar for quite some time now. It is a quiet spot, mostly residential around us, which is nice when you are trying to focus on engineering plans and blueprints all day long. The office is not anything special to look at, just plenty of desks covered in big sheets of tracing paper and a few computers that have seen better days. Usually, someone is making tea in the back while the rest of us are arguing over a specific measurement or looking at how a new layout should work. We do a lot of the planning stuff for buildings around the neighborhood and further out. People just walk in sometimes asking about their house plans or if they need a signature on something for the local authorities. It is mostly just us sitting here working through the technical side of things, making sure everything is drawn up right. The apartment complex is easy to find, right there at B-11/34. Some days are busier than others, especially when there is a big project on the table and we are all staring at the same set of drawings for hours. We do not have a big reception area or anything fancy like that, just a couple of chairs for folks who come by to talk about their sites. It gets a bit cluttered with all the site maps and rolls of paper, but that is just how we work. It is practical and we just keep at it every day.
