Our office is over at Jamshed Khan’s place in Dipatoli Mahuadand, which is in the Barwadih area. It's a quiet enough spot to handle the construction business. We’ve been working out of this location for a while, managing various building projects around the region. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything, just a practical space where we can sit down and look over plans. Most of our work happens out on the sites, so the office is really just for the administrative side of things. We deal with hiring local laborers and sourcing materials from around Jharkhand. It's a lot of coordination, making sure the trucks arrive when they are supposed to and that the rain doesn't ruin the work we already did. Jamshed started this and we’ve just kept it going year after year. We know most of the families around here, and word of mouth is usually how we get our next job. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand and getting things built. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery being late or the ground being too hard to dig, but we just figure it out. That's just how construction is. We keep our tools and our records organized as best as we can. It’s a small operation but it keeps us busy from morning until night. We are from Barwadih and we build things that people in our community will use.
