Cement Company

This is Cement Company, out in Burhibir Village. We are located in the Chainpur Block area, pretty close to the Forest Colony. It is quiet out here compared to the city, which is nice most of the time. Our place in Burhibir Village isn't hard to find if you know where the Forest Colony sits. We spend most of our hours dealing with heavy bags of cement. It gets on your clothes and in your hair, but you get used to it after a few days. Being in Chainpur Block means we see a lot of the same faces coming by. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just have the cement and the space to keep it dry. The weather matters a lot to us because rain is not good for what we sell. When it stays dry, we are busy moving stock around the yard. It’s a basic operation here in the village. We started this because there was a need for it in the local area. Most of our day is spent checking the inventory and talking to folks who drive in. Burhibir Village is a small place so news travels fast. If we are closed, people usually know why. Near the Forest Colony, you get a bit of shade in the afternoons which helps when it’s hot. We just do our work and go home like everyone else.
