Variety Spices

We’ve been here in Srikrishnapuram for a while now. Most people know the shop at number 30. It’s a busy spot in Palakkad, and we spend most of our mornings just getting things ready. We handle a lot of different spices. People come in looking for specific things for their cooking, and we do what we can to help them find what they need. It isn’t a fancy place. Just a regular shop where we keep things moving. We deal with suppliers and try to make sure the bags are filled right. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, but we stay open. My cousin helps out when it gets crowded. We mostly just focus on the daily work. It’s dusty work sometimes with all the powders, but you get used to it. We don't really have a big office or anything, just the counter and the storage in the back. If you’re walking through the neighborhood, you’ll probably smell the pepper or the turmeric before you see the sign. We’ve had some regulars for years. They know where we are. We don't really change much around here. It works for us and the people who come by. It’s just how things go in Palakkad. We keep the doors open and wait for the next delivery to arrive. There's always something to weigh or pack. It's a simple way to spend the day, really. It gets the job done and keeps us busy.
