Thangam Hospital

We are located in Chadanamkurussi, which is in the West Yakkara area of Palakkad. Thangam Hospital has been a part of this community for a long time. It’s a fairly quiet area compared to the main city center, which helps keep things a bit more peaceful for the patients. The building is large but it’s not flashy. It’s just a place where medicine happens. We have wards for people who need to stay and various rooms for checkups. Most of the people who work here live in Yakkara or nearby, so it feels very local. We don't have a corporate board or a marketing team telling us what to do. We just come in, put on our scrubs, and start seeing patients. The lobby is often crowded with people from the surrounding villages. You’ll see families sitting together and waiting for news. We have a lot of files and old-fashioned record-keeping along with some computers. It’s a mix of the old and the new. We spend our days checking pulses, giving out medicine, and talking to folks about their health. It’s a simple, grounded way to work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy lobby art. We just want to make sure that when someone comes in sick, we do what we can to help them out. That’s just life at our hospital in Yakkara. It is a busy place but we manage.
