We’ve been here in Chittilamcherry Po for a good while now. The office isn't much to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for us. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless it rains hard. You’ll usually find someone at the desk by nine, though sometimes the tea break stretches a bit long if the conversation is good. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. It gets noisy when the fans are on high speed during the summer months. People drop by without calling first sometimes, and that’s fine. We just pull up another chair. The building has some old paint peeling off the corners, but we haven't bothered fixing that yet because the roof doesn't leak. Most of our day is spent looking at files or talking to people from the village. It’s a quiet spot overall. We don't have fancy furniture or a big sign out front. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up with the neighbor's, but we just walk it over. There’s a small shop down the road where we get most of our snacks. We keep things pretty simple here because that’s what works for this area. It's just a regular workplace with regular people trying to finish their tasks before the sun goes down and it's time to head home to our families.
