Nandavanam Ayurvedic Hospital

Nandavanam Ayurvedic Hospital is located on Palat Road. It’s a simple building that we have been using for quite some time now. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is an Ayurvedic place, so we focus on the traditional stuff like oil treatments and herbal medicines. The shelves in the main room are lined with various jars and bottles of powders. We spend a lot of time mixing things up for the people who come to see us. The atmosphere is generally quiet, though you can hear the traffic from Palat Road through the windows during the day. We use ceiling fans to keep the air moving, so it stays reasonably cool even when it’s hot outside. The staff here is small. We all know each other well and we usually have our meals together in the back room. Sometimes the patients join us for a chat about the weather or local news. It feels more like a house than a hospital in some ways. We have a few beds for those who need to stay over for a few days of treatment. The linens are plain and we wash them every day ourselves. We don't have a big reception desk or a computer to check people in. We just write everything down in our ledgers. It’s an old-fashioned way of working, but it’s what we know best. People come to us when they need a different approach to their health issues.
