Malabar Cements Ltd

We are based out of the MCL Township at B 9/3, right in the Walayar Post area of Palakkad. Being here in Kerala, especially in a place like Walayar, means we are surrounded by the hills and the dust of the industry. Malabar Cements Ltd has been a part of this landscape for quite a long time. Most of us live and work right here in the township, so the job is never really far away. It’s a different kind of life when your home is so close to where the cement is made. The air is often thick and the trucks are always moving in and out, but you get used to the sound of it after a few days. We don’t really have a fancy corporate culture here. It’s more about the guys in uniforms and the sound of the machinery running in the background. We know each other by name because it’s a small community in the 678624 pin code. Life moves at its own pace in Palakkad, even with the factory running. We don't spend much time talking about our goals or anything like that; we just make sure the production stays on track and the bags are filled. It is a practical way to live. Some people might find it too quiet or too industrial, but for us, it’s just home and work all rolled into one.
