Kirloskar Bros Ltd

Our office is at 23/46 Mampilly, which is in Palakkad, Kerala. If you know the area, you know how much it rains here, and the greenery is everywhere. We work out of this address, handling things for Kirloskar Bros Ltd. It’s a straightforward setup. We have a couple of rooms where we keep our computers and the ledgers. The building itself is older, with that typical Kerala style, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is out. We don't have a big fancy entrance. Most people just walk up and knock on the door. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, though you hear the traffic from the main road sometimes. We spend our time talking to farmers and local contractors who need help with their water systems. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We aren't wearing suits or ties. Most of us just wear simple clothes that are comfortable for the humidity. We’ve been here long enough that we know the local postman and the tea shop owners. It’s a very local way of doing things. There’s always a bit of dust on the shelves and the sound of birds outside. We just get on with our tasks, making sure the orders are placed and the deliveries are scheduled for the right time. It’s a simple, everyday kind of workplace where we deal with the usual glitches and rain-soaked afternoons.
