Kelpalm

Kelpalm operates out of the Kelpalm Facility Centre in Kallepully, Kazhani, which is near Alathoor. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s where the real work happens. The facility is mostly about processing palm, so it can be quite a busy and loud environment during peak times. We have a lot of machinery and there is always the sound of something running in the background. The roads around Kazhani can get quite dusty, especially when the trucks are moving in and out with the raw materials. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. Most of us are on our feet for most of the shift, making sure the processing is going smoothly. It’s a practical place, built for work and not for show. We deal with a lot of local farmers who bring their palm fruit to us. It’s a direct sort of business where you see the results of your labor every day. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans painted on the walls. We just have a schedule to keep and a product to get ready for the market. It’s hard work, and the weather can be unforgiving during the summer months. Still, we’ve been doing this in Alathoor for a long time and we know exactly how to get it done right without making a big fuss.
