We've been over at No. 4/1064 in the Kanjikode Industrial Development Area for a while now. It gets pretty hot out here in the afternoons, but that’s just part of working in an industrial zone. Jayon Implants is basically a bunch of us focusing on making surgical parts that go into people’s bodies. It’s serious work because these things have to be right. We spend most of our time looking at specifications and making sure the machines are running exactly how they should be. It’s not a fancy office. Most days there's a lot of noise from the neighboring units, but we’re used to it. The team here knows each other well. Some of us have been at this for years, while others are just learning the ropes of how these medical implants are put together. We don't really do much besides focus on the production floor. It takes a lot of patience to get the finish right on a bone screw or a plate. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. Sometimes the rain makes the road to the unit a bit messy, but we always make it in. We aren't trying to be anything huge, just a reliable spot in Palakkad where this kind of specific manufacturing gets done properly. The coffee machine in the breakroom is usually broken, so we walk down the road for tea. That's pretty much us.
