Jankisan Nidhi Limited

You can find us over at Palanchery Kalam in the Nenmeni area. It’s part of Kollengode here in Palakkad. Jankisan Nidhi Limited is the name on the board outside. This isn't a high-rise office building or anything fancy like that. It’s a practical space where we handle the financial stuff for the people living nearby. The surroundings are quite green, being in Kollengode, and it’s a nice place to come to work every morning. Most of our day is spent sitting at the desks, going through the ledgers and making sure every entry is correct. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There is a water cooler in the corner and enough chairs for the visitors. People come in from the village and the nearby farms to talk about their accounts. It’s a very face-to-face kind of business. We’ve always thought that being part of the community is more important than having a shiny office. The paperwork can be a lot sometimes, but we get through it. My neighbor’s son works here too, which makes it feel even more like a family thing. If you are looking for us, just ask around Nenmeni. Most folks can point you toward the Palanchery Kalam spot.
