Safa Books

You can find Safa Books on High School Road, which is usually pretty busy with students and parents during the mornings and afternoons. We have stacks of books everywhere you look. It’s not just the shelves that are full; sometimes we have boxes in the aisles when a new delivery comes in. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but a bookstore always seems to have a mind of its own. We’ve got textbooks, notebooks, and all the regular things kids need for their classes. It’s a local spot where people stop by on their way home. The light in the shop isn't very bright, but it makes it feel cozy enough for browsing. We spend a lot of our time dusting the covers and making sure the pens and pencils are stocked up. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside a bit muddy, but people still duck in to get what they need. We don’t have a fancy computer system for everything; a lot of it is just written down or we just remember where we put things. It’s a simple way of running a shop, and it works for us. High School Road has its own rhythm and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We aren't trying to be a giant chain, just a place where you can find a specific book or a decent pen. It gets a bit noisy when school lets out, but we like the energy.
