Empire Spares

Being out here in the New Industrial Development Area in Menonpara means there’s always noise and movement around. Empire Spares is tucked in among a lot of other sheds and factories. We deal with a lot of heavy metal and parts every day. It’s a bit greasy sometimes. The shelves are filled with stuff we’ve collected and organized over time. It might look like a mess to someone walking in from the street, but we know exactly where everything sits. If you need a specific bolt or a plate, we can usually find it if you give us a minute to look. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months because of all the metal around, so we keep the fans going all day. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It's mostly just us working through the inventory and making sure people get what they came for. We don't do much talking unless it’s about the work. It’s a practical place for practical people. Most of our regulars are mechanics or factory guys from nearby. They don't want a sales pitch, they just want the part that fits. We try to keep the coffee pot full because the days can feel long. There’s always something to organize or a delivery to check in. It keeps us busy enough. We just stay focused on the day-to-day stuff and make sure the count is right at the end of the shift.
