It’s an industrial patch of land, so there are plenty of other warehouses and factories around us. We focus on food processing here. It’s a clean setup because you have to be careful with food, but it’s still a working factory at heart. There’s always the hum of machines in the background. We have a small group of workers who come in every morning from the nearby villages. Kanjikode can get really dusty when the wind picks up, so we spend a lot of time keeping the inside tidy. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s a place where real work happens. We get the raw materials delivered by truck, and we process them and pack them up. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s just part of the daily routine. We don’t really use fancy language to describe what we do. We just make food products and try to do it right. People know the water tank, so it’s easy to tell drivers where to go.
