Alsalama Eye Hospital

Our eye hospital is located on Hospital Road in Perinthalmanna. It is a busy street, which makes sense given the name. We have been here for a good while now, helping people with their vision. The building is functional. It has got big windows and plenty of light, which is good for an eye place. Inside, there are various stations for checking eyes and a place where you can pick out glasses if you need them. It is not a five-star hotel, it is a hospital. We have benches for waiting and a desk where you sign in. The staff are local folks from around Perinthalmanna. We speak the local language and keep things simple. Dealing with eye problems can be scary for some people, so we try to be calm and just explain things as they are. We do not use a lot of medical jargon that no one understands. If your eyes are blurry, we look at them and tell you why. Sometimes the wait is a bit long because we get a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages. We try to see everyone as fast as we can without rushing the actual check-up. It is a steady pace here. We open early and stay until the last patient is seen. It is just how we do things on Hospital Road. We have seen thousands of eyes over the years and we just keep going day after day.
