Abhijith Photography

I’ve got the shop set up right near Sivaramanivas Engineering College in Akathethara. It’s actually at Sivaramanivas, close to the post office. Most people just call it Abhijith Photography. Being this close to the college means I see a lot of students and staff walking by every day. I’ve been taking pictures for quite a while now. It wasn’t always a business, just something I liked doing until it became my job. The studio isn’t one of those big, polished places you see in the city. It’s a bit cramped with all my tripods, backdrops, and boxes of gear, but it works for me. Sometimes I’m out on the road for a job, and other times I’m just here at the desk. I handle everything myself, from the shooting to the editing. There’s no big corporate vibe here. It’s just me and my cameras. Akathethara is a decent place to work, and I’ve gotten to know a lot of the neighbors. People stop in for ID photos or to ask about bigger events. I try to keep things pretty relaxed because people get nervous in front of a camera. I just want the photos to look like the people in them. It’s a simple living, and I’m happy to be doing it right here by the college. I usually have a pot of tea going and the radio playing quietly in the background while I work on my files. It's just a regular day for me here, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
