Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital

Our branch of the Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital is located at Kanal Piruvu, and we use P. O. Box 120 for our mail. The hospital is a familiar sight for people living around here. It is a large setup where we deal with everything related to vision. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is how busy the lobby is. There are always people sitting on the benches, waiting for their turn to see a doctor. The air is filled with the sound of names being called out and the shuffle of feet. We have several rooms for different types of eye exams, and the equipment takes up a lot of space. The lighting is bright so the doctors can see what they are doing. Our staff wears simple uniforms, and everyone is usually rushing somewhere. In the back, we have offices for the paperwork, which never seems to end. The location at Kanal Piruvu is convenient for those traveling by bus. Sometimes the weather makes it hard for people to get here, but we stay open regardless. We have a small area where people can get glasses if they need them. It is not a quiet place, but it is an important one for the local community. We do not use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do; we just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the clinic runs as it should. It is a long day, but it is what we do.
