Kam Ayurveda Hospital

In the village of Nedumkunnam, our Ayurveda hospital is a bit of a quiet place. It’s surrounded by greenery, which helps keep the air fresh. We don’t have the beep of monitors or the smell of harsh chemicals here. Instead, it smells like herbs and oils. We’ve been practicing the traditional ways for a long time. The building is made of wood and stone, and it stays quite cool even in the middle of summer. I grew up around this place, watching the older generation prepare the mixtures. Now, I help with the patients. We don’t rush things here. A consultation might take an hour because the doctor wants to know everything about how you’re living. It’s not like the city hospitals where they see you for five minutes and send you away. People come to us from all over the district, often when they’ve tried other things and didn’t get better. We have a few rooms for people to stay in if they need treatments over several days. The beds are simple, and the food is just what we cook in the kitchen. It’s a very plain way of doing things, but it’s what we know. Life in Nedumkunnam is peaceful, and we try to keep the hospital that way too. No big signs or fancy lights, just a steady place where the old traditions are still alive.
