Advanced Resource Centre For Humanitarian Development Foundation

The Advanced Resource Centre For Humanitarian Development Foundation has its main office at Aishwarya Apartment on Old Padra Road. We are up on the ninth floor in unit A-901, which gives us a decent view of the Race Course area nearby. It is a fairly quiet building compared to the main road outside, which stays busy with cars and buses all day long. Our office is basically a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of printed materials. We spend a good chunk of our time researching and putting together resources for various humanitarian projects. There is a small balcony where we sometimes go to take a break and get some fresh air. The furniture is a bit mismatched because we just added pieces as we needed them over time. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and lunch for the staff. It feels more like a home office than a big institution, which suits us just fine. Most days are spent typing away or having small meetings around the main table. We do not have any big logos on the door, just a small nameplate so people know they are in the right place. The walk from the parking area can be a bit long when it is raining, but the apartment is a solid place for us to work from. We keep things pretty low-key and just focus on the research and development stuff we do.
