Atharva Hospital

You can find Atharva Hospital near the bus stand in Pachora, inside the Sharma Complex. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages. It’s a very active part of town, and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses. Our hospital isn't one of those giant ones you see in the big cities. We are a more local operation, handling a bit of everything that comes through the door. The Sharma Complex has a few different shops, so it’s a busy building throughout the day. We have rooms for patients to stay in and a small area for emergencies. Most days involve a lot of walking back and forth between the front desk and the patient rooms. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing department. It’s just the doctors and the staff here in Pachora. Sometimes we run out of chairs in the waiting room when a big family comes in together. We just do the work, checking people over and trying to figure out what’s wrong. The stairs in the complex can be a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when moving equipment around. It’s a practical place for the community here, and we’ve been at this location for some time now. We stay open late most nights because you never know when someone might need help.
