The Leela Kempinski Kovalambeach

We are based at Dhanalakshmi Nivas in Panamanna South. It’s near Ottapalam in the Palakkad district of Kerala, pin code 679501. Even though the name on the door says The Leela Kempinski Kovalambeach, we are actually situated way out here in the Palakkad area. It’s a much different vibe than the beach. Dhanalakshmi Nivas is a local building that we’ve used for our operations for a long time. It’s surrounded by the kind of greenery you only really see in this part of Kerala. The pace of life in Panamanna South is slow, and we tend to follow that rhythm. We don't have a big lobby or staff in uniforms. It’s just a practical space where we handle our affairs. Most of the people around here are neighbors who have lived in Ottapalam their whole lives. We feel like part of that fabric. Every morning, we come in and get things started. There’s no rush to be the biggest or the most famous. We just want to do our jobs right from our spot in Palakkad. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain is so loud you can’t hear yourself think, but that’s part of the charm. We like being tucked away like this. It keeps things simple and honest. We just focus on what’s in front of us and keep moving forward one day at a time.
